Beruf+Erfolg Idea Management, Wirtschaftswoche, Edition 48/2007

In the “Job+Success” section in its edition 48, the German business weekly Wirtschaftswoche reported on its survey of idea management programs at the top largest 505 enterprises (by revenue) in Germany.

The following topics were evaluated:

  -  Establishment: Do you have a department for idea management? How is it structured? What is the level of senior executive involvement in this topic?

  -  Organization: How is the idea management system (program) communicated? Do you use software to submit and process ideas? Who has access?

   -  Motivation: How is employee motivation and creativity fostered? Are premiums awarded? When do employees receive feedback on their submitted ideas?

   - Success: Do you follow up on the results? What key figures are tabulated? What conclusions are derived from the results?

The best enterprises were ranked in two categories – “manufacturing companies” and “service providers” – with a maximum of 20 points assigned. Five customers of the target solution were listed in the top ten in the “manufacturing companies” category: two with 20 points each and three with 17.
