Siemens A&D Implements target Intranet Solution for Fiscal Year 2005/2006


With approximately 25,000 employees submitting more than 150,000 ideas annually, Siemens A&D places great value on its idea management to stay ahead of their global competitions in all lines of business. Siemens bundles all aspects of idea management into their “3i” program (ideas, impulses, and initiatives) to find ways to maximize improvement potential.

At the start of the fiscal year 2005/2006 on October 1, 2005, the 3i program achieved a milestone: The employee intranet portal now enables role-based access to idea management. Submitters, idea assistants, idea coordinators, decision-makers, employee managers, and reviewers can now quickly and effectively access their respective idea management tasks.

Herr Clemens Wagner, head of idea management at Siemens A&D, had the following comment on achieving this milestone: "We have had great success using target idea management software based on SAP R/3 for a number of years at Siemens A&D. Starting fiscal year 2005/2006, we are now using the Web-based solution from target for submitting, valuating, and remunerating ideas decentrally.
